ปฏิบัติการพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุบนพื้นฐานการพยาบาลแบบองค์รวมในการส่งเสริมสุขภาพ ป้องกันโรค โรคเรื้อรังและฟื้นฟูสภาพของผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะสุขภาพดี ภาวะเสี่ยง และกลุ่มอาการที่พบบ่อย รวมถึงการดูแลต่อเนื่อง การดูแลระยะท้าย การประสานเครือข่าย การบริการแบบสหสาขา การดูแลแบบมีส่วนร่วมของผู้สูงอายุ ครอบครัว และชุมชน ประยุกต์ใช้มโนทัศน์การพยาบาลผู้สูงอายุ ศาสตร์ที่เกี่ยวข้อง และหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ โดยคานึงถึงสิทธิผู้สูงอายุ จริยธรรม และจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพ
